First training course organised by European Genetic Foundation within the Health-e-Child project.

1st course in "Genetics of Rheumatic and Auto-inflammatory Diseases"

Rheumatic disorders are multifactorial diseases with an important genetic component which affect both disease susceptibility and disease outcome. More recently, chronic inflammatory disorders (auto-inflammatory diseases) due to mutations in single genes that control the inflammatory process, have been characterized.

The course is intended to provide the clinician with the basis to understand the genetic component of rheumatic and auto-inflammatory diseases.
